Steam Wand Kit Rancilio Silvia Since 2008 Alternative V.2

​This kit defers slightly from the Rancilio Factory version - see below for details.

The wand kit includes all the necessary parts for replacing the Steam Wand:

• Complete 10mm Wand in Stainless Steel with one hole tip (as pictured with tip and anti-burn cover) 
• Wand Nut
• Spring
• Spring Seat (hard to see in the picture)
• Teflon Gasket (hard to see in the picture)

The differences from the Rancilio factory version are 

•  Stainless Steel
• The wand tip has MALE threads instead of the standard female
• The top of the wand tube and the ball fitting are both threaded, so the wand can be unscrewed from the ball fitting. This is useful if you wish to insert silicone or teflon  tubing to create a "no-burn" wand.

Fits: Version 3 Steam Valves (upgraded around 2008) as well as other machines.

NOTE: This wand does not fit pre-2008 Silvia valves. However, you can upgrade a pre-2008, non-swiveling wand, to the Version 3 swivel wand by replacing the complete valve.

If you’re not certain which version you have, the 2008 knob is silver in the center, so it’s a good indicator as long as no one replaced only the knob on an earlier version. The best confirmation is to measure the diameter of the steam wand tube (not the tip): PRE-2008 = 6mm; 2008-Since = 10mm.
