Collection: Electronics / Control Boxes for Espresso Machines

Electronic components such as control boxes, relays, dose pads, and associated parts.

Some control boxes are common and simple, but most are strictly customized by the control box producer to each machine manufacturer's specifications.

All codes and details (voltage and functions) should always be double checked before ordering.

Note that some control boxes made by Giemme, Cigar, and Pro-El-Ind are interchangeable as long as the specs or wiring diagrams (almost always printed on the control box box)  are the same.

Some manufactures will use nomenclature, some use abbreviations and some use only symbols. These are somewhat standard but not always. For example :

Phase: The leg "hot" wire to the power board for 115Vac

COM or Neutral: The neutral wire. NOTE: for 230V boxes in the US, each leg carries 115V therefore both Phase and Com are live "hot" wires.

Ev.1 EV.2: Elettrovalvola or solenoid valve. When a number is included they are the for the brew solenoid valve. Each number is a for a group and not for a 2-way boiler fill valve.

Cald: This indicates the 2-way boiler fill valve.

Sonda Livello: Water level probe.

Sonda Sicurezza: Safety water level probe that will dis-activate power to the heating circuit when low.

Sonda Sicurezza Serbatoio: Level probe for water reservoir pour over machines.

SM: Probe for the boiler autofill.

Aliment: Another way to describe the main power terminals into the control box.

Resistenza : Heating element.

Livello: This indicates the 2-way boiler fill valve.

Pompa: Pump.

Sicurezza: When near other output relays, it powers the heating element in low amperage machines and the relay in higher amperage ones.

NOTE: All control boxes are tested from the manufacturer prior to be shipped out.
