To retrofit to the PRE 2005 version, one of the screws that hold the heating element flange to the boiler needs to be replaced with the longer one (base to boiler through the flange).
An additional Teflon spacer is also suggested with the washer (commonly available in S/S in hardware stores) and the Insulator.
