Note that the the attributes that make this shower screen beneficial to the taste of your espresso also have the potential to trap even more sediment than a standard shower screen if your grouphead is not backflushed regularly and properly. In addition to slowing down the flow of water, that clogging can push the shower screen and grouphead gasket assembly out of the group, especially if flushing the grouphead without a portafilter inserted.
