Fits: Older models with brass and copper Heating Element which have a small threaded hole for the thermostat’s mounting screw.

NOTE: Some early version Pavonis do not have thermostats; other early versions had a thermal cut-off installed in a large hole within the heating element flange. Neither this thermostat, or the P-14A mentioned above, will work on either of those versions.

NOTE: This item is not longer supplied by the US importer. An alternative is to install the resettable P-14A (127C) in its place as long as you have the threaded hole on the base of your element. The ability to reset the thermostat is a plus, of course. The only drawback to using that newer version is that due to its lower temperature rating, should your element create more resistance due to scale build up on the coils, damaged terminals, loose connectors, old wiring, or just an old heating element, then the lower rated thermostat will trip more often. To install the P-14A on a brass and copper element, thread its included nut onto the bolt from your old P-15A (as a spacer), pass the bolt through the P-14A’s included clip, and screw the bolt into your element’s existing threaded hole to hold in place
