La Pavoni Torx Tamper-Proof L-Key (for 2mm Security Peg)

On some La Pavoni Lever machines, a Torx driver is needed to remove the ABS base so you can access the electrical / boiler components.

In general, this driver fits newer models where the screw is mounted underneath the ABS base and screws in upward. HOWEVER, we recently had a customer with a 2010 Millennium machine which had the newer-style base (where the screw screws in upward from under the base) who needed the smaller-sized driver. The best way to confirm which Torx driver you need is to measure the security peg in the center of the screw. This driver fits a 2 mm security peg. For the 1mm driver see HERE.

NOTE: In our experience, this driver will NOT work for older models in which the ABS base is attached by a screw that is located in the bottom of the drip tray and screws in downward. Again, the best way to confirm which driver you need is to measure the security peg in the center of the screw. If you cannot accurately measure the peg, then your surest bet might be to purchase both sizes.
