This Boiler + Retrofit kit is necessary to install a new boiler on "Pre-2006" Silvias. If you’re uncertain which boiler you currently have, please see this link.

Heating Element 115V (110-120V) 800W

H.E. Gasket
H.E. Washer
H.E. Nut
2 Wires to the H.E. Terminals
O-Ring for Boiler's Halves
And the additional parts to retrofit a Pre-2006 version boiler:
Pipe that goes from the Boiler to the Steam Valve
Fitting from Boiler to Steam Valve Pipe
2 Copper Washers (between the Boiler and the OPV Fitting)
In the current "2013" version of the Boiler, the Heating Element is now removable and made of Stainless Steel. It replaces the discontinued KIT where the Copper and Brass Element and Boiler were integrated (10705396).
Installation tip: To protect your new element, consider leaving one HE wire disconnected until you’re certain the boiler is properly primed and element is submersed.
For the handy person with an older boiler (posts soldered on the boiler) that would like also to save few $$$, there is the option of this element1755656. Please note the details and work necessary to complete this conversion prior to ordering as the item is not returnable.
